The question I hear most often
Almost every physician who reaches out to me asks the same thing before booking: what exactly happens in this session, and how does answer structuring actually help me at the visa window? It is a fair question, and I want to answer it precisely — because knowing what to expect makes the whole process feel less daunting.
What happens before we even meet
The session itself does not start when we get on the call. There is a significant amount of pre-processing that happens first. I collect your information — your DS-160 forms and any other relevant details — and I analyze everything carefully. Sometimes I even work out the logic of what your answers should be before we sit down together. By the time we meet, I already have a clear picture of your case.
What we do inside the 45-minute session
Want personalized feedback on your answers?
Shachi does 1-on-1 mock interviews — get real-time coaching before your consulate visit.
Book a Mock InterviewOnce we are on the call, we go through your anticipated visa interview questions one by one and frame exactly what you could say to the officer for each one. This is not generic advice — it is answer structuring built around your specific situation, your background, and what is already on your forms. You leave the session knowing how to respond, not just what topics to cover.
What you receive after the session
After we finish, I send you a written summary of your session notes, along with a recording so you can revisit everything at your own pace. Email support is also available if further questions come up as your interview date approaches. One of my recent clients put it well when she asked whether the follow-up summary from her second session would be as organised as the first. Her words stayed with me: she said she really appreciated how organised everything was — the scheduling calendar that meant we did not have to keep confirming back and forth, the Fathom recording, the summary email. She added that she does not see many people in this field functioning that way. I share that because I think it gives you an honest, real-world picture of what working together actually looks like.
