The problem: no print or save option on the confirmation page
You are not alone in this. Almost everyone using the new USA visa portal right now is hitting the same wall. When you navigate to the 'Point of Confirmation' tab, there is simply no print button and no save option visible on the page. The system is genuinely glitchy at this stage, so if you have been clicking around looking for a download link that does not exist, that is not user error — it is just a gap in the portal.
The workaround: use your device's built-in print function to save as PDF
The hack is simple once you know it. Instead of looking for a button inside the portal, use the print shortcut that already exists on your device. On a laptop, press Control + P (Windows) or Command + P (Mac) while you are on the confirmation page. This opens your device's print dialogue, and from there you choose 'Save as PDF' instead of sending it to a printer. You now have a PDF of your confirmation page that you can print from anywhere.

You can do exactly the same thing if you are accessing the portal on your phone. Open the confirmation page in your mobile browser, tap the share or print option (this varies slightly by device and browser), and select 'Save as PDF'. Once you have the PDF saved on your phone, you can send it to a printer or a print shop and get your appointment confirmation in hand.
Bottom line
If you cannot print directly from the portal, do not panic. Just use your laptop or phone's native print function, save the page as a PDF, and then print that PDF. It is an extra step the portal should not be making you take, but it works reliably and gets you what you need for your interview.
