I manage a team is not an answer. Officers ask for names, titles, and reporting structures. Vague answers signal you do not actually manage anyone.

If every decision goes through someone above you, that is not management. Officers know the difference between approving decisions and making them.

Cannot explain the company relationship

If you say you work for the Indian branch going to the US branch without explaining how the two entities are legally related, it looks suspicious.

Role sounds like individual contributor

Mentioning your own technical work — writing code, running analyses, producing deliverables — undermines the manager narrative. The officer is looking for supervision, not execution.
